GWL 23rd January 1917

Rather a sick hound yesterday owing to inoculations but all right to-day…………. The boots from Cordings arrived to-day and are splendid.  Now I have everything you have sent except the first pair of puttees.  Alas the poor turkeys!  We have two bantams now!  Very cold and looks like snow.  Nice little bit about Father’s show, isn’t it?  You must have had an awfully good time with Nancy at the theatre, charming child, isn’t she?”

Cordings is an Outfitter in Piccadilly founded in 1839.  It is now part-owned by Eric Clapton.
